Description
I took a photo of a rose in my garden. I was interested in the various allusions to roses in literature and folklore. So I created a surface of tissue and paint on watercolor paper. I did a detailed sketch of my rose and enlarged it. Then I added it and other collage elements to the surface to create this work.
