Serenity wood print by Sandy Clift.   Bring your artwork to life with the texture and added depth of a wood print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 3/4" thick maple wood. There are D-clips on the back of the print for mounting it to your wall using mounting hooks and nails (included).

Design Details

This is a Japanese iris, iris ensata, that grows in my garden. It is done with acrylics on a mixed media surface of tissue, gesso, acrylics.

I am a retired elementary school teacher and my residence and studio are in Fulton, New York where I taught for thirty-one years. After I retired in 2000, I returned to the State University College at Oswego to pursue art. The work which I am exhibiting is the result of mixing various media. My interest is in creating unique surfaces using tissue paper, packaging paper, matte medium, glue, pastels, watercolors, acrylics, etc. My intent is to marry the more intuitive and emotive surface with a technically detailed drawing. I create a drawing and a surface and then begin the task of melding these two elements to create the finished piece.
